Welcome to Nappy & Happy! We are happy that you stopped by and are considering us for your hair care needs. Why the name Nappy & Happy?!? 

When I made the transition from having relaxed hair to being natural, I was faced with many comments, looks, conversations and judgement. As I continued on my journey I began to realize the negative connotation associated with the term “Nappy” and quite frankly I was ok with my hair being “nappy” but many others struggled to find acceptance in their home, at work and within their relationships. 

While doing hair (relaxed and natural) is a passion and side gig, I encountoured many of my clients struggled with dandruff, dry scalp, retention and growth which prompted me to think about all the products I used in trial and error. I examined the elements that I loved and spent countless nights looking up health benefits of oils and what combinations would be most beneficial. 

In 2016, I released the Nappy & Happy hair oil and it was instantly a hit and sold out. Life happened and I failed to make more hair oil. Fast forward to 2019! We are now relaunching this recipe with some modifications (for the better) and adding other hair care products to the line.
